Margaret H. Tyre, the Senior Partner of the firm, Tyre & DeThomas, has practiced law in Westchester County since 1979. She formed her own firm in Rye, New York in 1980. Margaret has concentrated her practice in the areas of Matrimonial Law, Trusts and Estates and Real Estate Law. Margaret is a founding member of the Association of Collaborative Lawyers of Rockland-Westchester, which was formed to offer an alternative process for divorce. Margaret is also trained in Matrimonial Mediation, and is a member of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals. She served on the Grievance Committee for the Ninth Judicial District and serves by appointment as a Special Referee for Disciplinary Proceedings. Margaret is a member of the House of Delegates for the New York State Bar Association and has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Westchester County Bar Association and the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and is currently on the Board of the Westchester County Bar Foundation. Margaret was admitted to the New York Bar in 1979 and is also admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. She received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1978. |
